Creative Writing at Heidelberg University

The Creative Writing Group of Heidelberg University is a long-standing group of people of all ages who enjoy writing in English. They have published several small readers and four collections of stories in book form and present their stories at readings in the Romanischer Keller every once in a while.

The group is open to anyone. No instruction is given on how to write but you will be expected both to write yourself as well as to comment on the writing of others. For the last couple of years however, there have also been workshops with published writers including, amongst others, Mark McNay or Declan Hughes. You'll usually find us on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. in the seminar (somewhere on the far end of the upper floor) and after 8 p.m. in the
Essighaus (Plöck).
